Santa Fe Farms Partners with Nationally Recognized Local Santa Fe Artist: Joel Nakamura

Santa Fe Farms is excited to announce its partnership with nationally recognized local Santa Fe artist, Joel Nakamura. “Joel’s artwork epitomizes the ethos of our company,” explains Deanna Byck, Chief of Staff of Santa Fe Farms. “Symbolically it represents everything from environmental sustainability to local cultural ideology, yet at the same time, it has both folk art qualities and fantastical elements that embodies our brands.”

Santa Fe Farms has eight different but interconnected verticals in the Hemp industry from seed genetics to cultivation, post cultivation services, consulting on extracting and processing equipment, extraction and processing, testing, CBD products (coming online later this year), and SaaS (supply chain as a service) Blockchain track and trace software. To find an artist whose work could tie the brand identities together was important to Santa Fe Farms CEO, Steven Gluckstern. “The minute we saw Joel’s work, we looked at each other and said, ‘this is it.’ Very much like our own business bringing together 15th generation New Mexicans with 1st generation entrepreneurs, Joel’s art encompasses ancient New Mexican symbolism and myths combined with bizarre light-hearted touches of modern pop culture. It’s provocative – we knew we wanted him to represent Santa Fe Farms.”

Look for Joel’s artwork work as Santa Fe Brands begins to launch CBD and other phyto-cannabinoid rich products later this year and early next year.

Joel Nakamura is an image maker, producing art for commercial clients and galleries. He has won hundreds of awards of excellence for his work in editorial, advertising, and corporate illustration. He is the author and illustrator of the award-winning children’s books Go West! and I Dreamed I Was a Dog. In Santa Fe, Nakamura is known for art he created for Harry’s Roadhouse, Santa Fe Film Festival posters, Japan Festival posters, Century Bank, and exhibitions at Hahn Ross and Pop Galleries.
